On the left side of the application window, you will see the control panel, which shows the primary processing and output settings. It's apparent simplicity belies the fact that this is one serious, professional piece of software. The Gigapixel interface itself is clean and straightforward, but what it does to your images is both astonishing and sophisticated. The standalone version 6.0 was used for this review. The softweare is available as plugin versions for the major photo editing suites (most notably, Photoshop and Lightroom), as well as in a standalone version. Gigapixel supports Windows and Mac, including Windows 7, 8, 10 and 11, and Mac OS 10.14 and above. It worked flawlessly, but it was funny that the whole thing was based on kilobytes, and you could see the numbers flying upwards at the speed of light, as the program itself was several gigabytes in size (4Gb of free disk space is required for installation). The initial download of Gigapixel went smoothly, and when I clicked install I was very surprised to see a very old-fashioned installer program that harkened back to 20+ years ago.
